What it is

AAA / RADIUS

Neurix by i9 Network includes a managed FreeRADIUS server. It authenticates PPPoE and DHCP subscribers against the same record billing uses, applies the plan's speed, and uses CoA to change it live when a customer upgrades or runs out of validity. Every accounting record is kept for 25 months, which covers the DoT's two-year retention rule.

01 / In sync

Paid customers online, unpaid ones not

RADIUS reads the same subscriber record as billing, so there is nothing to sync.

02 / Live changes

Upgrade speed without a reconnect

CoA changes the session's speed the moment a new plan is paid for.

03 / Compliance

Two years of sessions, kept for you

Accounting records are archived for 25 months and searchable when you need them.

How it works

Step by step.

Every step happens in the same system, on the same subscriber record.

  1. 01

    Authenticate

    Subscriber connects

PPPoE or DHCP request checked against the subscriber and plan.
  2. 02

    Authorise

    Plan applied

Speed and limits from the plan are sent to the NAS.
  3. 03

    Account

    Usage recorded

Start, interim and stop records stream to billing and the archive.
  4. 04

    Change

    CoA on upgrade or expiry

The live session follows the plan, without a reconnect.
